| Exeter was still a dusty town in 1906, when this photograph was taken. Here is a picture of Pine Street, looking west, with the First National Bank Building on the left, at E Street. This is now the Bank of America Building. Behind it is the Powell Confectionery, and the Odd Fellows Hall. In the far background is Kirkman Hall, on the west side of the Southern Pacific railroad tracks. The large building on the right foreground is the Stephens and Montgomery General Store, with the town's post office inside. Across E Street is the Miles Building. |
