This is a great photograph of the high school football team in 1909. Note the more rounded ball of the time. They are practicing at the Lincoln School site, where Principal J. E. Buckman had started planting eucalyptus trees. From left to right the players are Art Griggs, Rufus Colburn, Ned Dennis, John Jordan, Jm Davis, Harold Kirkman, Leslie Wolbert, Loren Carder, Bill Culbertson, Awbrey Mackey and Leo Schelling.
